The
Worker Activity Index (WAI) is a derived metric that measures worker mobile device activity against the building's net lettable area (NLA).
Normalising by the building's NLA standardises the worker mobile activity between buildings of different sizes allowing for easy comparison.
This document calculates the average WAI of selected buildings, this average is a weighted average. Consequently, a building's contribution to the average will be proportional to its NLA.
This weighted average is required because the WAI index is normalised against NLA to allow comparison. If there is a requirement for a building to be added or deleted, it is recommended you return to
propella.office and create another custom export, otherwise accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
NB. The WAI is not a percentage occupancy. Consequently, if "Return to Work" analysis is required propella.ai recommends dividing the WAI for each building by its a pre-COVID (as at 2020-03-06).
